Glyphosate 41% SL is a highly effective, non-selective systemic herbicide used to control a broad spectrum of annual and perennial weeds and grasses. Many companies manufacture and sell products with this active ingredient under different brand names. It is widely used in agricultural, industrial, and non-crop areas

Product Characteristics

Active ingredient: The product contains 41% Glyphosate in a Soluble Liquid (SL) formulation, making it easy to mix and apply.
Systemic action: Glyphosate is absorbed by the leaves and is translocated throughout the entire plant, including the roots. It works by inhibiting a key enzyme needed for plant growth, resulting in the complete death of the treated weed. This systemic action is what makes it effective against hard-to-kill perennial weeds.
Non-selective: Because it kills all types of plants it comes into contact with, great care must be taken to avoid spraying desired crops and vegetation.

Dosage and application

Foliar spray: A typical application method, which involves mixing the liquid with water and spraying it directly onto the weeds’ leaves.
Dosage per acre: For general weed control in non-cropped areas, a common rate is 0.8 to 1.2 liters of formulation per acre.
Dosage per liter of water: Specific product labels may provide a dose per liter. For example, some products might recommend a concentration of 0.8 to 1.2 ml per liter of water for tea plantations and non-crop areas
