Streptomycin Sulphate + Tetracycline Hydrochloride 9:1 SP is a plant protection product used to control bacterial diseases in crops. It is a water-soluble powder containing streptomycin sulphate (90%) and tetracycline hydrochloride (10%) that works by interfering with bacterial protein synthesis. This bactericide provides both contact and systemic action, meaning it can cure infected crops and protect new growth after application.

How It Works

Streptomycin Sulphate: This component inhibits bacterial growth by preventing the production of proteins essential for the bacteria’s survival.
Tetracycline Hydrochloride: This component adds a secondary mode of action by further inhibiting protein synthesis, making the bactericide more effective against a wide range of bacterial pathogens.
Synergistic action: The combination of both antibiotics provides a powerful and broad-spectrum defense against bacterial infections.

Form: Wettable powder (SP).
Ratio: 9 parts streptomycin sulphate to 1 part tetracycline hydrochloride (9:1).
Action: It has both contact and systemic action, meaning it kills bacteria on contact and is absorbed by the plant to be transported throughout its tissues.
Curative and protective: It can cure crops that are already infected and prevent future infections.
